Received Society-Centered AI Google Research Award
We just heard that our proposal entitled Exploring A-Enhanced Mixed Ability Social Interactions was selected for a Society-Centered AI Google Research Award. The proposal was led by Makeability Lab PhD student Arnavi Chheda (co-advised by Professor Jacob Wobbrock) and the funding will be used to support her research.
This award builds on top of our recent ASSETS'24 paper Engaging with Children's Artwork in Mixed Visual-Ability Families.
Congrats as well to Makeability Lab alum Professor Dhruv Jain who additionally won an award for his proposal entitled "Enhancing Auditory Scene Understanding for Deaf and Hard of Hearing People"
