We hosted our Fall'23 Makeability Lab Retreat to launch the new year, celebrate the past, and plan for the future. New Makeability Lab PhD student, Arnavi Chheda, gave an overview of her journey from double majoring in HCDE and CSE at UW to working as a software engineer to Microsoft to getting her MS at Columbia. Others shared their summer internship experiences, their learnings and reflections from the past year, and updates on their research.

We also went over our lab values/principles, some fun lab projects from the past, and an overview of our budget.

In sum, we talked, ate good food, and celebrated one another.
