October is an exciting month for the Makeability Lab with 11 papers, posters, and demos at UIST, ASSETS, and VIS, including a Best Paper Inclusion Award for Jae Lee's CookAR at UIST'24, a Best Paper Nominee for Arnavi Chedda-Kothary's formative study of artwork in mixed visual-ability families at ASSETS'24, and Chu Li's AltGeoVis paper at VIS'24—the Makeability Lab's first ever VIS paper.
Congratulations to all the Makeability Lab students and collaborators! 🎉 🥳 I'm particularly proud that these 11 publications include nearly a dozen undergrad research assistants as co-authors, including Peyton Rapo (now a MS student at UBC), Jaden Wang (now a PhD student at UIUC), and students like Sieun Kim (who is applying for graduate programs this year!). Thanks to the PhD students for mentoring these students and giving them new opportunities for learning and research.
