Huge congrats to Makeability Lab ugrad Ritesh Kanchi for being selected for Google's first ever Product Equity & Inclusion Summit. Ritesh was only 1 of 60 students invited nationally (and the only from UW) to travel to Sunnyvale and attend the two-day summit. On Day 1, Google hosted both internal and external speakers talking about product inlucusion and equity principles. On Day 2, attendees were grouped together to solve an "equity problem." Ritesh's team designed Financialo, a financial app designed to teach novices about financial investments and was designed with accessibility-first principles.
